Planning 21st birthday

Ok so I am having my birthday at dave and busters.

I have never been and really want to go. I am really not worried if anyone shows or not. I just want to have fun. I am not supplying drink for anyone as it is dave and busters. We are going to buy a couple pitures of beer and thats about it.

I have reserved a motel room right across the street as I dont believe in drinking and driving. Its aviable to all.

I am getting a cake just cause I like cake. I am not allowing a bunch of kids just my sisters kids and my neice who is 15.

What should I change about the plans or add to help me.

Pin money on yourself before you leave the house. My bestie pinned 5 dollars on me before we left the house..

I ended up with over $180 on me, and $100 of it was from people just walking up to me and saying *Oh it's your birthday.. here ya go honey*

Make your man buy you a crown from Hot Topic or the party store..cause it's your day and your the Princess...I have a gigantic one from this year..

cool thanks I am so getting a crown from hot topic he got a 50 dollar gift card there to buy my outfit. That was my birthday present.

I totally forgot about pinning money on myself thanks for that idea to.

and if you know how to skate...you should put on some skates and come join us..your like an hour away.. we have girls that travel 3 hours away to skate with us..

Do you know I was a Sunday skater when I started? As in, I could skate moderately ok with my kids.

Now it's a whole different ballgame.

I will teach you if you want, there's some tricks your going to need to learn that only girls our size know.. small skinny chicks just don't get it. Big girls, need to be taught to derby skate, by other big girls.. thats not meant as an insult to you, not at all, but it's just easier to learn to skate by someone who knows how to compensate for having a larger center of gravity, and different mobility issues than someone of smaller stature.Originally, I had a small girl teaching me, never ever picked up on a thing she said or did.. cause her methodology and positions just did not work for me. Then I switched to my best friend, whos a packed and stacked, fake ****ed beach babe blonde skinny chick..same problem. It wasnt until I got mentored online by a derby girl outta Tuscon who was my size, and she told me to try this, try that, switch to this wheel, this stopper, this plate, this truck.. lower this, put your feet here.. that I started making real progress. Then an Houston Roller Derby girl joined us, Raven Knockahoe, she's as tall as I am, and built the same, I just have more bulk to me than she does, and she started showing me how to position my back, and my legs, and skate on one foot in a squat position to relive pressure..that I really started making progress.. She got it. She is my size, and she got it. Your in G-town. Heck, even if you don't wanna derby skate, get you some skates, slap on some outdoor gel wheels, and skate the sea wall. Works on your tan, and you seriously burn some calories and lose weight!! I can show you how to skate and work out certain muscles as you do..

I have a meeting in the morning with my co-founder..we have the training manuals and skills and things of that nature to go over..a planning meeting so to speak, next week we gotta get the website,myspace and facebook up.. so once that's all set.. I will get you some info.

I usually use Gil Montie's Tattoomania.. but I also use Divine Ink.. in Beaumont.. I think there is one in your area as well.. I would have to look on the flyer.. they are one of our sponsors. Right now, due to the economy in our area being crap, and "bidness" being non existent..for the month of Sept they are doing a $250 Tapout. Meaning, as much ink as you can stand.. in one area..for $250. I think it's only on Tuesday's..

Here's my derby sista/mentor from afar..you see her as one of the first girls on pink on the screen.. and shes the giant girl with the braids and the #10. She got me skating good..

So.. don't ever doubt yourself, and if you get discouraged.. don't worry, I can't tell you how many times I left the rink in tears.. You can do it.

I am not even a good sunday skater so we have our worked cut out for us.

Get your work done for your team then we can go about meeting up to teach me how to skate. But I also have to get the money together to buy a pair of skates.

Then we can realy talk rollar derby. Yeah my older of the htree sisters is paying for my tat its a trididtion in the family for one older one to get a younger one a tat at 21 if they want it.

Its my first one I was thinking phoenixs paw print but I want her portrate

Dependin on what size you are.. there's some Labeda's at the rink someone ordered but never picked up..

The home rink also has replaced all their skates, so tell me your size and I can get you a pair of the other kind to practice in, I will mail em to you..those are free,,

Wow, Zin, you weren't kidding about that lady being tall! She must be like a foot and a half taller than me. I would love to be tall like that. Also, roller derby looks like fun.

As for the birthday party. Have you drank much before? You may want to decide ahead of time how much you want to drink. Some people think the purpose of 21st birthdays is to get the birthday person absolutely trashed. If you want to remember your birthday party and not feel terrible the next day, I'd suggest not getting too drunk and not letting your friends (or any weird strangers you meet- I'm drawing from experience here) push you into drinking more than you want.

I were a8 1/2in shoes so what ever that would be in skate if the sizes change. I have heard of a half of size down.

How much are those skates that are at the rink if there my size. If not my husband wheres a 9 in mens if they convert to his size I will still get them as he takes phoenix out all the time.

I am not a big drinker My family are all alcoholics. So I am not going to drink alot. I am scared to pick up that first drink. One beer mabye two as I hate the taste of beer.

Go figure I am a bartenderthat does not drink.I only bar tend on the side.

I am hoping to have a lot of fun.
