I like that their dogs are taken from rescues. It's a little pricey though - a $280 monthly membership fee, which entitles you to 4 doggy days per month. Each additional day is $45.

That is alot.

But I guess people who can't have dogs because busy schedule probably work and if they work alot they make good money and can afford such high prices to walk around with a dog and pick up poop.:biggrin2:

Just my oppinion

I have heard about this before and i dont know how well this would work, who has that kind of money to put out monthly to only have the dog for 4 days? Although it is going to possibly show someone a little of what is going to be involved in dog ownership it is expensive for a rental dog. I wonder how stressful it is going to be for the dog who is going from one house to the next ? Hopefully it will help and get people to think before hand.

Wow I surely would think those dogs are very stressed out! Different people, places and smells! WOW! I know my dogs would HATE that! Not only that, but talk about expensive! Those people could buy a dog and kennel it/pay for vet bills with the amount of money they pay monthly to only have a dog for four days. My dad wants a dog soo badly, but he works in areas such as Seattle and Spokane (WA) for weeks/weekends at a time, and he absolutely has no time for a dog, although he has a few hours at home on the weeks/weekends he isn't on business trips, but he wouldn't be able to afford to do that, nor would he want to. Well I'm sure he'd want too, but you could just go the local humane society and play with their dogs for a few hours each week; they'd surely love it, but you'd probably have to become a volunteer or have a background check or something, before they let you in will the dogs. ;)

Sounds really strange . Who's making moneyfromit and what are they using it for? I understand not being able to house a dog, but wouldn't someone feel better fostering temporarily or volunteering and using some of that money to donate to help the dogs?

The concept almost sounds a bit like another business if you know what I mean.

I think that's a great idea for people, but a bad one for dogs. It would be great if people could get an idea of what to expect before buying a pet, but I don't think renting out pets is fair. How will those dogs ever feel like part of the family when they're getting moved about all the time? :(

I don't see how the dogs are benefiting from this.. they would get stressed out, being tossed from one home to the next. Everything they knew and loved always disappearing, only to be placed somewhere strange and new.
