I have these 2 bunnies and they pee and poop intheir bed! Like they don't have a little spot where they go. They goeverywhere! What should I do???????????????
Put a litter box in the spot where they are peeing and pooping. Insert a grill to keep your buns off the floor of the cage. Buns do not prefer to be lying on woodfloors or upon shavings. The only study I've seen on the matter concluded that buns preferred wire floors with the envionmental ambient temperatures ranging in the 50-80 degree area.
Babies almost invariably soil the nest (er, atleast mine did!) until something seems to kick in around 6 mo.--"HEY! Ireally don't want to sleep in this stuff!"
I should add that mine have divided hutches outsidewith asleeping compartment filled with straw all year round. The young onesmessed their boxes until the first winter, then spotless from then on.I would purposefullyput off cleaning up after them to makethe lesson stick a bit. It took two days for Bub (smart boy!!). I'dalmost given up on Fenwick and resigned myself to almost daily cleaningwhen he finallyfigured it out. Hollands, dumb as rocks, asPam says. (gotta love 'em)
