So. Being so new, I don't have a complete grasp on how everything is run in the rabbit and cavy world.

Once I got all my pedigrees, I threw them all onto evans. I no longer have about half of them, due to either getting lost or getting peed on by one of the cats. (She has just perfect aim, apparently. >.>;)

I was chatting with a friend the other day, and she said that you have to pass on the pedigree you got with the animal. Only one out of 8 pedigrees I received were actually the whole signed ones, with seller and buyer info, and the likes. Is it proper for me to print off my own evan's pedigrees when/if I sell the rabbits? Or should I still try to pass along the original pedigree, even if it's cruddy.

Also, when taking a rabbit to register it, will I need a signed copy from the breeder? Or could it be the ones I got with just the rabbit's info, and who it's from. And last, could I use one of the ones out of evans, if i have all the other info written down somewhere?

XD It shouldn't be much of a problem registering. All of my brood animals either can't be registered due to things like scratched or blind eyes, or over weight (yaaay BUD's.). And all of my show animals, other than the one with a totally complete pedigree, are bred and shown by me.

Thaaankies.

I would try to pass on the original. ;) I make copies of all of my pedigrees, keep the copies, and then pass the original onto the buyers unless they are buying for pet, in which case I keep copy and original pedigree.

I don't think you need the signature of the breeder when getting a rabbit registered. I would think not, since not all breeders sign the pedigree.

Youcan print them off from Evans if necessary, but be sure to put the original breeder info on the pedigree because it is necessary for ARBA registration.
