I know, this is going to sound ridiculous given my health track record this past year, but I've done something to my foot!

It started hurting yesterday afternoon and was really painful, and then I went swimming this morning (probably shouldn't have done that lol) but it didn't really hurt while I was in the water. Got worse after I got out and now I can't move my big toe at all, and it's SOOOOOO painful! Plus it's getting worse in that it's now hurting while I'm sat with it up, not moving, whereas it wasn't before...

I have no idea what I might have done to it...

Steve called the doctor's for advice and they spoke to the doctor, who said to go to A+E to get it x-rayed :cry1::cry1::cry1:

So I'm just waiting for Steve to finish up some work stuff LOL and then he'll take me to the hospital!

Sigh.... How do I manage these things?!

simple - you are concentrating on your beautiful bunnies so much that you are oblivious to the world around you:rofl:
Lol! Or maybe Dotty stood on it or something :p

Honestly.... OUCH! I feel like I want to put a sock on it because it's really cold, but I don't think I could stand the pain! I wish Steve would hurry up! :(

Is it red or swollen? Does it happen to be the same foot that was odd when you went to San Fransisco? Just curious.
I hope all goes well at the doctor's! Good luck! :clover:

I'd forgotten about that! Ermmmm, I can't remember now which foot that was, but that cleared up within a week anyway.

It doesn't look red or swollen at all, that was my argument! I don't want to go to the hospital! :p

It's sort of where my big toe is, but further down in my foot, not my actual toe, if that makes sense....

Yes! But it's closer to the end with my big toe rather than closer to my ankle.....

If that makes sense....

I haven't fallen, or dropped anything, or anything like that on it though...

Sometimes our bones can just "pop", like cracking a knuckle, and cause pain. You could have stepped wrong yesterday and it is just hurting now. I would still go to the doctor's just to be on the safe side.

Think of it this way, if one of your bunnies were to have foot pain and wouldn't walk on it normally, you would take them in. You need to treat yourself and good as you treat your bunnies. :D

I hope all goes well! Keep us updated! (I have to go to college now :grumpy:). Good luck!

Well that was a fun afternoon! NOT :grumpy:

2 and a half hours in A+E and an x-ray later, my foot isn't broken. Lol. I never thought it was, but oh well!

They think I sprained it or something. Wooo. I've got painkillers to take that are strong but not as strong as my emergency stash of Tramadol but should do it, and I'm to rest. That means no swimming tomorrow :grumpy:

Boooooo!

Mind, at least it isn't broken and I'm not in a cast- that would really screw up my trip at the end of April!

Hooray for not-broken feet! :D Like I said, better safe than sorry! :) I've done that to my foot where I must have mis-stepped the day before and didn't notice it until the next day when I could barely put pressure on it. :p

Where are you going at the end of April? :)

I'm glad it's not broken! I was thinking gout maybe, my dad gets that a lot. It's meant to be super painful.

Sprains are annoying, they can hurt for ages, ouch!

Thank you!

Yeah they said gout was a thought, but it's usually on the outside of the big toe rather than the inside, plus I'm still a bit young for that apparently!

I took the co-codamol they gave me and OMG it wiped me out! I have been lying half awake, barely able to move for the past hour. I hope I haven't posted anything silly lol :p Normally they have no effect whatsoever lol, so it was a bit of a surprise....

Well, there's a positive note! I bet you're glad that you went to the doctor! ;)

Yes, very! Also because I have much stronger in the cupboard so I'm glad I didn't take that!

Oh, and I forgot to say where I'm going! I'm going here:

http://www.centerparcs.co.uk/index.jsp

The Longleat Forest one- it's about an hour away from me. I'm going with 9 of my friends, for 4 days! It's basically like a big huge holiday place, with chalets that you stay in, and loads of activities and watersports to do, plus a great huge swimming pool, and there are shops and restaurants etc on site. I've never been before and I can't wait!

Awww your're going to Centerparcs! I have always wanted to go there! Sadly I think its a bit too expensive for us :(
I always thought it would be really expensive too but we're paying £85 each for 5 nights. That doesn't include activities obviously, but you get use of the swimming areas. We're taking our own food and only eating out one night maybe. It's one of my friend's birthdays while we're there so we're having a surprise BBQ for him.

It's not dirt-cheap, but it's not tooo bad...

It's funny, it didn't really hurt last night while I was asleep. Although I slept terribly, because I had a big bunny jumping on my head at 3 and again at 5am DEMANDING noserubs, so I was awake most of the night. But it wasn't really bothering me.

This morning though, ouch! It's really sore! I've taken some ibuprofen- I'm saving the heavy stuff until I've dyed my hair, because I REALLY want to dye my hair and would have done yesterday had I not ended up in Casualty!

Steve is telling me to rest it, etc etc.... :p

Is that £85 pppn? Or for the whole 5 days?!

Hope you have a lot of fun though! You can cycle around the forest and stuff and go horse riding! I've always wanted to go! Think I'm a bit old now though!

£85 each, for all 5 days! You book it per chalet, and then just split the cost between you. We've got one of the most basic chalets I think, but they still look really nice.

Not only can you go cycling round the forest, you can cycle on the lake now too! Apparently they have things called hyrdobikes, that you can pedal around the lake on. Plus something called waterrollerz, which from what we can Google, looks like a giant inflatable tube that floats on the water, and you run in it, sort of like a hamster wheel? Sounds fun!

And erm, what's all this about being too old? I'm 6 years older than you! :p

It's just a good excuse for us to get away. We all need a break and to let our hair down and have some fun for a bit...
