Heh, welcome to my bun's dwarf-sizedblog for this forum. He was being a lazy bunny today so I'm gonna go ahead and be the writer for his entries & posts, like just about every bunny owner here! I'll try to post new pics and updates on my little one as much as I can, as long as it's all approved by Oreo himself first. Of course...hehe.

-----

Ihad purchased Oreo at a small pet shop about four years ago. At the time I had just gotten into the world of rabbits and continuously begged my mom for a bunny of my own. After some begging and hard time chores, I started my search for a bun. In the past week of wanting a rabbit I had become more educated about the species then my mother and my grandparents, (Come to think of it, I'm the one who is always enlightening my family about rabbits and their care today) I had gone to several Petco's only to realize that they didn't carry rabbits, and then figured that a small time pet shop bunny would be just as good. My mom had warned me not to fall in love with the first rabbit I see; I did. Oreo had already been pre-named, and at the time was three months old. We were told he was a dwarf, obviously he was a dwarf mix, but we remian uncertain of his exact pairing. What did it matter, he was perfect in every way to me, he did have his moments but hey, who didn't? He did have a tendency for getting into mischeif but I had to look past it and just get onto correcting him and giving him limits around the house.

Because I went to my grandparents everyday, Oreo remained living there in their kitchen with his thirty dollar cage.ThehouseI lived in was only a rental and we weren't aloud to have any animals besides fighting fish, and you know how boring they are comapredto a rabbit. Well we were right down the street from him anyways, so I always saw him and and did all his dirty work...everyday. (And that means alot of coco puffs had to be cleaned)

*In the past two years, we have moved farther from my grandparents...almost two hours away. Oreo stayed at their house however, again, do to ourliving space. However after a years time we settled into an animal friendly house and I still yearned for my rabbit, after all I still thought about him all the time and knew where he was was not suitable enough for a happy rabbit. So as soon as soon as possible, Oreo finally moved in, where he's ment to be. Iwas estatic that I finally got Oreo to come live with his rightfulhuman, and out of my exitment for his arrival home, we soon aquired a lovely little hutch that had more then enough space for him to be his mischevious self.
Oreo now lives a very exiting life, he get's a whole grassy backyard all to himself when he's agood bunny. He does however have to share me with our cat, Zoey. The two get into trouble I have to say, they enjoy playing tag and running around the living room, jumping off and on our couches. (Heh, my mom cringes every time they do that) But I figure it's just a game, I tend to have to sperate the two if Oreo starts getting rough, he likes pounce on Zoey and in reaction she pounces on his tail, but Oreo does tend to get fiesty so precatiouns are always took with that one. He's my naughty bun, but there are those moments where he want's his nose rubs and his cheeks to be pet, andthen I forget I was cross with him xD

It was also only about a year ago also, that I learned what a benefitcial thing it is to spay and neuter your rabbit. He was three at the time I learned this and now I've been preaching this to my parents every chance I get, poor Oreo really needs the surgery and my plan is to get him neutered before Christmas, but who knows when the money for this will come in. So until Oreo is fixed up for his own good, we cannot let him have a bunny friend, as hard it is for me to not come home with a new rabbit every time I walk into a pet sotre, I have to think about Oreo's needsand the cost of food and a cage. But we'll get a new additon when we're ready...

But for now I'll be updating Oreo's life and happenings with all the chance I get, so I can share it with the awesome people here on RO, hehe. He'll be happy that I'm spending so much time writing things about him. Boy does he love the attention...
