Update. I just looked at the floor. Same spot, about an inch further. She got it again. Shredded the whole thing.

Don't have time to get a tile tonight. Any immediate solutions??

So mad...Gonna have to pay for that carpet. I'll stop typing before they bleep me out. Good thing that rabbit's cute....

I am having the same problem with my females right now! They dig in the corners of my apartment (oh boy we are not going to get a deposit back, I'll tell you that right now). I have put down rugs in the corners. Stopped them digging. Then, they'd find another place. I'm going to have to put rugs all over the place.

I almost posted something like, "I'm going to have rabbit stew if they keep doing this" lol. Not really, but seriously....I'm getting seriously MAAAAAAD.

I just leave mine in their pen until I'm around to watch them. When I catch them digging at a corner I spray them with a squirt bottle and herd them into their cage and close them away for the day.

Honestly if I were you I'd not let them out except for supervised times. If they can't stop being so destructive then they don't deserve the joys of freedom. My dog used to get free-roam of my place when I was gone but after he got into the garbage AND peed in my bedroom when I was gone, he now gets locked in the bathroom with his dog bed when I have to leave. I gave him my trust that he wouldn't destroy/damage things and he broke it, so now he gets confined. I do the same with my bunnies and they have yet to destroy the carpet or chew up anything since that one time incident of the base-board.

It's funny, if you cover the spot, she won't do it anywhere else. Stuck my Apples to Apples box over it, and she'll use it as a seat, but won't try to move it to dig. Phew. :D

That's good. When my guys want to dig, they do. Only a squirt bottle seems to dissuade them, and Mumford not too much. He kind of ignores the squirt bottles whereas they freak Layla out. Mumford has upturned the entire "kick-out litter proof" litterbox idea I had and turned the entire pen into basically a sandbox of litter. *le sigh* I'm letting him do his digging thing and destroy it all he wants but I'll be cleaning it up tonight.

I have even been letting him out more to see if it was boredom causing the digging but he just stays in the pen even when it's open. Guess he just likes living in a pile of mess!
