So someday I will learn that anything on my night table is fair game to the rabbits... I had a package of Tums on the nightstand, and Oliver got into them and ate about 2 of them. I didn't really think it was a big deal, but wanted to check. I figure I'll just see some calcium in his pee for a while...

Hi Nadia i'm pretty sure it should be ok at least you won't need to worry that he has a calcium deficiancy:pMaybe a bit more than he should have, but i don't think a one off will be harmful

You'll probably see some reddish pee is all I can think of. Give him plenty of water. Calcium is something we don't want to give them high amounts of. This is a great article and I use this grocery list when I choose what greens to give the bunnies. I try to keep their calcium to a minimum.

What did you do ..... take him on your honeymoon?

Tums are frequently (but not always) given to does right before kindling....usually one a day for 3-5 days.

I don't think two will hurt him but I agree with the idea of giving him lots of water...

He's doing ok, eating etc just fine. I did see a calcium pee stain on my rug (he usually doesn't have high calcium in his pee), so I guess that was him passing it. All is good.

hah Peg - we're not going on our honeymoon till November.
