Seriously, why do men have to yell and slam stuff when one thing doesnt go the way they want???? Seriously, he is trying to butter a piece of bread and the bread keeps tearing. So he is in the kitchen yelling and slamming stuff around. I told him I have a headache. I would go help him but I want him to ask me to help him. How hard is it to butter a piece of bread?!?!! I just realized how trivial this is and now I am laughing about it. I guess I needed to type this all out to realize that

If he's typical, he won't ask for your help and he won't want it either.
I figure if you do go in and help, you'll just be encouraging that behavior in the future.

my hubby is the same way. Little things tick him off and he has to slam,yell and carry on. It is a man thing, they like to be in control. Personally I just laugh and leave the room. They seem to think that this kind of behaviour helps with their frustration.

Control hits the nail right on the head...if he wouldve calmed down and not gotten his panties in a wad (probably shouldnt have said that, he doesnt wear panties, he wears briefs, but you get the point) he wouldve been able to butter the bread. And good gracious if he loses something, its everyone elses fault except his. Then he finds it and its exactly where he put it...UGGHH MEN!

It's in their genes.. or their testosterone. I remember when my one son wasn't even 2 yrs old. If he fell down or tripped over his own feet, he would look up and whoever he first saw, it was 'their' fault. He would get all angry at the person as if they did it.

And as he got older, if he walked into a wall, it was the wall's fault!

HAHA, yeah. I could see myself getting mad about something dumb and I never want to ask for help. I could understand. I would tell him to calm down but that i just me
