Well, I consider this my fault but I am really upset. I spent all weel cealing up whole my father had cut in the cages when we had automatic water feeders. I got them all done but only last Friday did I find out I forgot Cynders. She is almost 6 months old. She managed to sqeeze he Angora body through this tiny whole and got out...twice. My big male Ace, who is a mini rex, was running around the yard while she was out. I am really worried because she is SO young! I have had 1 rabbit die due to birthing problems and I am really hoping she is not pregnant for her safty.

Six months isn't that young to be bred. Does have gotten pregnant at even younger ages - that's the recommended age for a doe to be bred for her first litter. Angoras are probably bred between 7 and 9 months. ;) So you don't have to worry about her being so dangerously young.

And yes, there is a chance that she is now pregnant. I would figure out when her possible due date is and really keep an eye on her. ;)

A mini rex should not be that big compared to any angora. As long as he is not bigger that she is (or not too much bigger), she should be OK. 6 months would be on the early side for breeding an angora, but still an acceptable age, especially if she is an English Angora (is she?).

You should prepare as if she is pregnant. Figure out her due date and get a nest box ready for then. Monitor her behaviour and weight to help determine if you think she is actually pregnant or not.

I think it would be intresting to see what the possible babies would look like. Angora rex crosses would be interesting.

X3 I've had a dwarf get bred at 10 weeks, and succesfully kindle and raise a litter of four. (After 2 died due to my own issues.)

She now has her second litter in the box right now. She had 7, and lost 3 to genetic problems. I fostered 2 more to her, and she's sitting on a pretty little 7 day old litter. =D

In any case, I hope for the best. Let us know if you need anymore help.

I have already marked it down on my calender and what not to ensure she doesn't have a litter on the wire by mistake. Korr and Sophie, she is a French Angora :) Thanks guys
