:)Hey everyone! obviously, duh, i'm new and I'm really excited to get my bunny Bailey. I know, I technically don't have him yet, but... He's going to be a little holland chocolate otter buck. Or fawn depending on this next litter. I e-mail the breeder almost every day and she keeps giving me updates on how the mom is doing and when we can take Bailey home. Hopefully you all don't think i'm too crazy. lol. Other than that, My boyfriend and I are moving up from San Diego to Monterey Bay for school. We got an adorable little apartment up there (** Bunny approved**) and will probably be moving in early august.

Thanks to all the people that read this, and even bigger thanks to people that will possibly comment back. :hug1

Welcome to the forum!

Haha you won't get anybody here thinking you are weird! We are all bunny-crazy people! :D Have you ever had a rabbit before? The Bunny 101 section here are so so much wonderful information to help you be a great slave... uh.. I mean owner. ;)

Enjoy posting! :)

CSU Monterey Bay?

My brother goes to UCSD and I'm about to leave SunnySouthernCalifornia for the colds of Ithaca, NY (I'm going to Cornell)

Congratulations in advance on your bun and welcome to RO!

Yep. I used to have a bunch back when I lived in Fremont, CA. I got one for Easter (I know, taboo), and they said it was a girl. I adopted another from a friend (which was also supposed to be a girl. A couple weeks and 8 babies later, we discovered that they weren't actually both girls. lol. Wonderful. Thats ok. I loved them all. I had to give them up though when I moved down to San Diego. :(. It was so sad. But it's been so long and my new bun is going to be indoors unless on a leash, so I'll probably be asking a lot of questions. haha. I'm fully aware of bunny-slavery. My boyfriend makes fun of how obsessed I am now, What am I going to be like when I actually get him? lol

Yep. CSU Monterey Bay. I'm only going there for a year or two then transferring to a school that can help me more with my major. But I'm excited.

My boyfriend's sister just graduated from there. it's a nice school. Too much concrete for me though. lol. Wow. I though Monterey would be cold compared to here, but NY? You're brave. :)

Hello! I'd like to say hi from the East Cost!

So you're going to be a dermatologist? That is a great profession. Very cool. Good luck wit your schooling.

I'm looking forward to meeting your bunny when she or her finally gets to you. :)

Aw. Thank you! yea. I was looking though everything and was suprised at all the great ideas people had and how much people know about things I would have never thought of. Anyway, I'm super excited for my bunny. Just waiting for him to get old enough to take home. Oh! And your holland lop is adorable! I was reading another post you had with some pictures of liffy and actually pulled my boyfriend over to see him/her. lol

i have an awesome one of her on my phone of her licking doug's face....lol.....now if i can only figure out how to get the pic from my phone to the computer i'll post it. liffy wasn't even the bun i was supposed to get. months ago i went to a lady's house to pick up a bun that was supposed to be a dwarf holland and when i got there the house and yard was beyond filthy......sickening....and the buns were NOT hollands....none of her buns were. ialmost took the bun anyway just to get it out of the house and away from that lady. but doug talked me out of it. i almost gave up then i found liffy. and i just LOVE her to pieces. i really want another bun now...lol

Welcome! And that is such a cute bunny in your avatar! Is that Bailey, or a parent of his, or what? From your posts, it sounds like Bailey hasn't been born yet but is promised to you by a breeder, right? Can't wait to see pics of him!:biggrin2:

HELLO!
Well, I'm glad to finally find someone else who is anxiously awaiting a new baby bunny, like I am. I was beginning to think that I was the only one this obsessed... after all, my bunny already has a blog, even though I won't be getting him for another two weeks.
Similarly, I am also moving (but renting a house rather than apartment) for my sophomore year of college.
ANNNND, I was born in California.
So, there ya go, lots of similarities!
ps, link to his blog- http://littleredbunny.blogspot.com/
Perhaps Bailey needs a blog ;)

haha. aw how fun! I'm glad i'm not alone! yea, i think he'll get one soon. He's not born yet though. I hope he's in this next litter. (k, i'm crazy). because i'll hafta keep waiting if he's not. which would be bad. I'd be like a kid waiting to open presents on xmas and told i'd hafta wait another year. lol

Oh my gosh. I can not imagine waiting ANY longer. My Flynn comes home in ten days and it seems like ages.
How old will he be when you bring him home?

Well, I should get him mid september at 7 wks. old. But if there aren't any colors or genders we asked for, we'll have to wait another 3 months!! I'm sooo hoping what we want is in this next batch. lol

Any other colors you'd consider? I would probably break down and get a different color, but that could just be because I'm the most impatient person in the world. I almost gave up on getting a red bunny, even though I've wanted one for years.
Well, I'll keep my fingers crossed that he's born in this next litter :)

Oh i know. I'm super impatient too. I've been waiting for one since christmas. My boyfriend used to tell me we couldn't get one because we were going to school and the apartment ppl wont let us have any pets. But then he was sweet andtalked tothe management company we are renting our apartment from and they said we could have a small (3 lbs. or less) bunny. yay!that limited me on breeds tho, and I felt bad because whenever I looked at shelter rabbits, they were all too big. And how bad would i be if I got a shelter bunny and had to give it back because it was too big? that'd be terrible for the bun and me! So. Holland lop it is. I think that i'd probably give in to another color but my boyfriend wont. He's pickier than I am! lol. That's ok. at least he cares and wants to help pick and stuff. Not just have it be my bun.

I read that again and it sounded like we already live in monterey - correction: We still live in San Diego and just graduated high school. We just signed a lease for an apt. and will be moving the weekend of august 8th. If anyone really wanted to know. lol
