Duchess has done this several times, but I'm not sure what it is. It looks like blood, but is from her privates area...She did this before (about 2 weeks ago) for a few days, then all was fine. She started again this morning. I haven't changed anything about her food or water supply. Any help would be GREAT!

Ok, do you mean this is when she is urinating? Or jsut soemthing that looks like blood by itself? Is she spayed? How old is she?

Ok, is it yellowish with red kinda swirled in or is it just all red?

Sometimes bunnies can had a more red/orange urine. I think as long as it doesn't look like there is blood swirled in urine it should be ok.

And this might be a dumb question, but is she spayed?:?

The question about her being spayed is not about her wanting to mate. I'm not saying this is what is going on, it probably isn't, but unspayed does can get cancer in their reproductive organs. Blood from her genitals is one of the signs of cancer. That's why spaying is so recomended for a doe.

If it's orangish, it probably is just coloration in her urine from minerals and such in her feed. You wouldn't necesarily haveto have changed her feed or anything for that to happen.

It's not blood - rabbit urine will often be reddish orange in colour, certain foods cause it. It's nothing to worry about. :)

However, you should look in to getting her spayed. See why in the reference section, here. Are there any rabbit savvy vets in your area? What's your location? (We request that you put your location in your profile, even a state or country is enough, for help with finding a vet, advise on food etc. )

RO vet listings are here.
