I just got a new rabbit (first one ive owned)and i like the little guy but it seems like i cant let him out of hiscage, whenever i do he ends up going to one side of my room (not acertain spot just one side of the room) and goes to the bathroom overthere.

Is there anyway of stopipng this? i made a little bathroom area in his cage but does not use it.

ive only had this guy for about a week.

Also can someone help me out on what kind of rabbit he is?

he weighs about 6.2lbs and is dark gray, he also has gray eyes (hes huge)

Hi there and welcome!

Can you post a pic..that way we can help you find out what breed he is.If you want the best results, post a thread in the rabbitry section.Lots of breeders hang out there and can hopefully help you out.

On the litter training, you just have to be patient. Is he neutered? That usually helps a lot. For now, hes most likely just marking theplace as his own. Do you have a littebox in his cage? If youput hay in one corner of his litter box, he should go in there tochew...and go to the bathroom. If you see any stray pellets you canpick them up and put them in the litterbox, also wipe up the pee with apaper towel and putit in the litter box to help show him thatis where it is supposed to go.

Once he has mastered the litterbox in the cage, then you can work onthe restofthe room. I would recommend putting asecond litterbox in the corner wherehe has been going.

Hope this helps!Oh, and feel free to introduce yourself inour new members threadhere:http://rabbitsonline.net/view_topic.php?id=11671&forum_id=1

His litter habits will improve if you have himneutered. Normally done around 3-4 months. It's important to find agood bunvet in your area.
