Yesterday before bed I was up in my room haning out with my bunnies, and I noticed really small poops. The bunnies have had small poops before, but not this small. They're about 1/3 the size of the normla ones. And I know it's Teacup because I saw her droop one. We were wondering if she might have some sort of blockage? I really hope not, but she's been eatting the carpeting and all of the buns are shedding.

This morning I went up and found a little bit of dhairrea, it had a clump of hair in it.

This is very odd, because she doesn't seem like she's in pain or anything, actually she was binkying yesterday.

I know it's not dehidration because we have a full water bottle, and afull water dish that they can get at. So what do you guy's think?

I don't know what the other swill tell you but when i see this in mt buns i up the veg intake (always eat that before anything else when they aren't feelimg well also has a decent water content!) and i make sure they they have plenty of hay. It could be hair if they are moulting or if they groom each other a lot!!

You could probably give some simethicone too but i always try the veg first :)

I just went through this the other night with my Smitten. I came home from work and there was more veggies in the pan than there should have been. Sawyer her companion shares everything with Smitten. I noticed he ate when I gave everyone their evening veggies. Smitten was not even interested.

I gave her a dose of simethicone. I decided to let them out to see what she did. Sawyer bounded out but went back when he noticed Smitten was not behind him. She did come out eventually. She left a big poop on the living room floor. Small price to pay to see that the simethicone was working. She did eat when I put her in later.

I think she was chewing on the carpet in her pen. That was the only thing I noticed. Just increase the hay.

Treat her for stasis - she might not be bad right now, but it could get worse. She's most likely gotten little poos from the carpet (I can't allow mine near carpet) and hair.

Whatever the cause - the small poos need to be corrected. Hay, hay, hay. Pumpkin if you can, give them a dish of water with something to make them drink more (they might still be dehydrated even with full water bottles and bowls - we have to encourage extra fluids when they molt and have tummy issues!)

spritz the hay, give her greens..... whatever it takes :)

:yeahthat:

The most likely cause is the molt, at least all mine tend to head down the stasis trail when molting.

Pumpkin and a little dilluted carrot or fruit juice usually keeps them on the straight and fat (poops wise). ;) Exercise helps as well.

Let us know how it goes!

Oaky we're bringing her pumkin and romain lettce. I gave her extra hay too. We have some petromalt should I give her that?

I would just stick to lots and lots of fluids vs the petromalt.

Get her eating water soaked veggies and any fluids you can get into her. Some pedialyte or very diluted juice.

Yeah, I always save the "medicines" for last. If I noticesomeone is kinda down and/or not eating as well, and/or tiny poos...... I start the heavy hydration and fiber routine..... Sometimes I think Clover is faking so she can get pumpkin. :?
