Brandy what about taking online classes? That way you could work from home and not have to worry about the anxiety school would cause you.

I'm not really sure what type of job would work but maybe at a daycare? Where you're around more younger kids than older kids and adults.

Have you ever tried cognitive behavioural therapy for your anxiety? Its a type of therapy that is quite effective at treating anxiety and phobias. My brother had SEVERE school related anxiety, along with school related OCD(his work had to be perfect and he'd do it over and over again, then throw it away and not hand it in because it wasn't good enough). It got so bad that just driving by his school would send him into a panic attack. He started seeing a psychologist and with the right anxiety meds and CBT he was able to treat his school anxiety/OCD and finish out his highschool attending a regular school.

Instead of trying to plan your life around your anxiety you should try to get it treated more effectively. Find a good psychologist that you like, and a good doctor that is willing to work with you to treat your anxiety. Anxiety doesn't go away if you avoid it, it can actually make it worse.

There is also lots of options for schooling that doesn't involve attending university full time for 4+years. There is schooling through correspondance, online, or even attending a trade school that usually involves only attending school for a little while and then you get an apprenticeship.

I've been to 3 doctors, and they've all said the same thing, just to 'breath' .
Doesn't actually work lol.
I think i'm going to go ahead with the hairdressing. :)
I went to the school a few weeks ago with my mom (it's where she went a while back) and I wasn't anxious at all :)

Thats good. Doing schooling you want to is different then going to school you hate like highschool. Plus attending a hairdressing school is different then doing regular school as its more hands on and less sitting in lectures and writing tons of essays or doing math(stressful to me).

Good luck and I hope it works out.

ps: your doctors are all idiots. A psychologist shouldn't be telling you "just breath" as a viable way of treating more severe anxiety.

I brought up the medication with him today, and me and my mom have a meeting with him next week to talk of the different possibilities.
He said most likely 'the third generation prozac' .. he said the medication (he forgot the name)ends with a C..anyone know what this is? lol
Oh, and I have depression
