I also got confirmation that Thelma and Louise are Fred's daughters. :(I am trying to figure something out.

I am getting the doe that they think might be pregnant. I am thinking of disassembling my closet :)PI'll just invent something for my clothes)and making a pen in the laundry room and grabbing that gang (Thelma and Louise). I know it's not a logical thing to do... But right now my logic has gone.

Would they be ok there? There is no sunshine but I would leave the light open... The thing is the furnace is there? That can't cause any problems right?

Btw...

Quebec Rabbit Rescue has been surrendering buns to the SPCA because it's just not working for them. They are on their way to disappearing. :(

Do NOT give up!!!!!!! It ain't over, yet! Contact the local media, ie, TV and radio stations! Tell them that the rabbits are in danger of being euthanized and you need to find homes/fosters for 40 of them. Really, no kidding!!!!!! Contact the local media about it.

It worked here! After a local shelter got legal custody of 150 rabbits, they started euthanizing them. "Someone" (hey, don't look at me like that) contacted a local TV station about it. The TV station sent out a crew to investigate! The shelter was in the process of grabbing rabbits for the death chamber when the media arrived. They slammed on the brakes so hard, I'm sure they all got whip lash! No more rabbits were euthanized!

Also, the local rabbit rescue (no "brick and mortar" just volunteers) took custody of 87 of the rabbits within a 12 hour period! And got another 20+ adopted straight out.

Get ANGRY!!!!! Throw a coniption fit! Make NOISE!!!!!!!! Call the media to watch you and friends/volunteers demonstrate outside the shelter! Do NOT "go quietly into that dark night!"

Also, local exotic vets volunteered to spay and neuter all the rabbits for $50 or less.

Also, contact rescues in northerneastern US to help. I don't know what the laws are about transporting rabbits between Canada and the US are, but where there's a will there's a way.

Make NOISE!!!!! You got nothing to lose, but the SPCA does!!!!!!

*Looks at you like that* :p

Yeah I'm about to get angry and take over the place! :grumpy:If I had money, I would so make an offer they can't refuse... lmao.

I'm getting help from various people and we're all looking for homes. I might have a few fosterers found so cross your fingers...

[align=left]I agree with Flick--post this info everywhere you know bunny owners look on the internet!! I posted it to some livejournal communities--here's hoping they are more receptive to this than when I posted about the Michigan meat rabbits (I got all these people saying that meat rabbits should just be eaten and not saved to be pets!)!!

I am going over there this weekend. Turns out there are about 15 bunnies not on the petfinder site.

If anyone wants to see the bunnies out of curiosity you can see them here: http://search.petfinder.com/search/search.cgi?pet.Animal=Rabbit&pet.Breed=&pet.Age=&pet.Size=&pet.Sex=&location=H1G+2L6

The SPCA rabbits are at risk. The Secours Lapins (Rabbit Rescue) are not as they are in foster homes. These are all bunnies abandonned in Montreal. And I know of about a dozen on listings looking to be rehomed as well. Terrible.

Good news!

The declawed bunny found a foster home!!! He is starting a bout of pasturellosis apparently and suffered H*** when he was declawed, also has an irritated bum. The vet almost cried when he saw. but, despite all this, this lil bunny remains as affectionate as they come.

A woman wants to adopt a bunny and apparently she'd make an awesome bunny mom. This is all on condition that she can have access to the bunny as she is in a wheelchair (though she can get up, just not walk much). So, I offered to go build a NIC condo at her height to enable that. :)

Yay!! That's really nice of you! I'm gald that a bunny found a home, just keep talkin' 'bout it online so other people willknow!

Wait... I've gota question..

Why would you declaw a rabbit?!?!?:grumpy::nonono:

That's REALLY horrible!! poor thing!! I hope it gets adopted to a good home!!!
