Hello, everyone! My name's Haley and I'm new to rabbit forums in general.
I used to have a lionhead named Poopsy, but she died from seizures. I've heard that dwarf breeds are also prone to seizures and I recently bought a new rabbit that I was told was a few months old and a dwarf.
I feel bad because I didn't even think about adopting, I was just in a pet store for some fish and bought my new rabbit Brown Noser on instinct. He/she was just so cute!
So could one of you experts pleaseeee help me identify what kind of rabbit I have and please tell me it's not a dwarf. ray:

Hi Haley, Brown Noser is adorable.

I have 2 dwarf bunnies and neither have had seizures. Buttercup will be 13 in August, so I would tend not to believe that statement.

Anyways I have no idea what breed he/she is. Are you not sure of the sex? How old is he or she? The experts will also ask you the weight of the bunny.

I look forward to finding out what breed Brown Noser is. (cute name)

I'm not sure of the sex, I asked my friend who sold it to me (who works at the pet store), and he said it's too young to tell, plus I'm not really sure how to tell. He also said it's only a few months old.
I'm not sure of the exact weight, but it's only a few pounds, really not that heavy.
It's a relief to hear that they don't have seizures, I only looked on the lionhead website when I had one and I think it said they had them too. Thank you and I'm sorry I can't be more help myself, when I can, I'll weigh my rabbit and get an accurate weight up

He or she is very cute. Looks like a rex or rex cross but hard to tell what lenght the fur is. If it is a couple of months old you should be able to sex it shortly. I got my grandkids one last year that the farmer assured me was a male. When "she" and the other males had babies I knew they had missed sexed it. Welcome to rabbits on line.

maybe even mixed with a standard or english spotted because of the coat and colouring. I think he or she looks too big already to be a mini - should be probably just guessing between 5-8 pounds. But that is just my opinion.

Ok I can see from my phone but I cant tell the texture or length of the fur. I was thinking some sort or rex mix or satin mix??? Adorable!!!!!! Would need to know weight hard to tell size too and if he or she is just a couple months you should be able to tell te sex. You can sex the rabbit yourself if you are willing to give it a go. It is actually quite easy.

Two of mine are Lionheads and they are 6+ and probably about 6 (not sure of Winston's ageas I got him from someone on RO that couldn't keep him & Vega any longer).

Anyways if you turn Brown Noser over I would think if his "Crown Jewels" have dropped then you will know he is a male. Mind you saying that, my Buttercup was suppose to be a Girl, HA, found out when we made the appointment to get "Her" fixed she was actually a "He".

Pet stores are useless at telling the sexes. At one point we bought 2 bunnies from a pet store told they were brothers yeah right. I was lucky I noticed the himping so they were separated right away until they were fixed then they were rebonded and made the cutest couple.

Are you going to get your fixed? It's much healthier for the bunnyif you do.

I don't know if peeing has anything to do with it, but one of the first times I let Brown Noser out to play, he like sprayed pee out his backside, haha. My old rabbit never did that and I'm pretty sure she was a female.
I looked at some pictures and thought it looked like an English Spot, but the Rex also looks accurate, at least I've got it narrowed down.
The weight is something between 5-8 lbs, like Alma said. It's fur is pretty short, maybe 3/4" to an inch long.
I'm afraid to sex it myself, haha, but I'll try. I know you have to support their necks and whatnot, I just don't want to freak "him" out.
I'd like to get my rabbit fixed, as I know it prevents cancer and such, I'm just really in a tight spot for money right now and I still need to find an exotic pet vet near me. :/ Of course, I probably will when I have the money.

actually, the rex spotted mix looks spot on! (pun intended) Plus, all the other rabbits they had looked like that but were either black spotted or brown spotted too.

Doesn't look like a dwarf at all--head shape and ears are wrong for that category. Very cute. Spraying might be an indication that you have a male. Also was told that male rabbits are the only mammal male that doesn't have nipples. Have fun with your new bun!
