Miami vice no more!

Thank you, Miami! Dogs everywhere are shouting from the rooftops. Miami is one step closer to stronger animal welfare laws. The city passed anti-tethering legislation on April 10, 2008!

Please thank Commissioner Joe Sanchez for his leadership throughout this process. He is a great friend to the animals of Florida and deserves our appreciation for his efforts!

It is now unlawful for anyone in Miami to "tether" a dog. This means a dog cannot be restrained by tying it to any object or structure, including a house, tree, fence, post, garage, or shed.

Send your thank you to Commissioner Sanchez, [email protected]

Could you post the write up of the new regulation? I'm interested in it because this area had something like that enforced, but due to so many loop-holes it quickly went under.
