Thanks April! Do you think it fits ? I'm sort of still contemplating :p

Right now she lives in one of those big puppy pens in the barn next to the Cavies. It gives her lots of room :) She has one of those giant horse feed pans with water in it and a nice black and white pawprint dish :) She hasn't tried to escape yet :p I doubt she will

When the bunnies do get out though, they generally stay in the barn. We always have the 2 big doors at the front open, just to let fresh air in. They sometimes go outside and nibble on grass. But it's pretty mucky, so I think she will stay in. But I'm going to check on her for good measure in a few minutes.

I think the name Dutchess is VERY fitting. She has a very regal attitude.

Don't stress out over posing her. It may take time to practice with her, to get her used to sitting that way. (Sorry, the Stifle joint is their knee.) It's good to do with her before the shows so she behaves for the judge. It's cute when a tiny little mini rex won't pose, it's a pain in the neck when an 11+ lb Flemish won't pose.

If I could get shoulders like that on my blues, I'd be SO happy!

Thanks April & Cathy, good to know I picked a fitting name :p
I will try to get pics of me trying to pose her up by later on today!
I also have to get pics of my Guinea Pigs pups up on another forum -kicks computer-

Cathy here is my semi-attempt at posing her :p

Score of 1 to 10?

lol Anyways here is the pic:

She looks better! Her back feet need to be tucked up so her back feet are completely flat, about 2-3" further towards her front elbows. It would show off her wonderful mandolin shape better. (See her hocks are kind of tipped up in the air? They need to be flat and totally under her.) You want to show off how perfectly ROUND her hips are and how high a rise she has over the hips. (I can see it, she's just not cooperating with you! LOL!)

But her shoulders look wonderful! I think she's very promising for such a youngster. (If I had a blue like that I wouldn't let it leave my barn!)

Thanks Cathy, I will keep working on it and try to perfect it :D
Good to know I got a nice Flemmie! There isn't many at shows, if there is it is only normally 1 or 2 no more. It is rare to see them at shows. Either way you need a pedigree to grand her :( Oh well lol it's all good!

Thanks Grace! She isn't as small as a nethie lol but she is still cute :p

I'm confused - your plans keep changing so much.

You're keeping her? I thought you were focusing on angoras only. You make so many trades that I guess it is hard for me to keep up.

(I know - I'm behind the times here).

I am merging both topics since they are about the same rabbit and it will make it easier for people to follow the discussion.

LOL! Yes, she needs to be "pushed in" a little more. But that is much better. I can see her shoulders and the loin better. She might be a touch narrow in the loin, but that is typical for a young Flemish. She needs time to mature.

Poor Dutchess, she probably doesn't know what to make of all this posing and picture taking! But the handling is good practice for her.

This is Ice Ice Baby. She is posed pretty well (Her back foot could be tucked in a little better.) But you can see the rise and the mandolin shape the judges are looking for. If you draw a line from her eye to the table, her front feet are on that line. If you draw a line from the front of her stifle (knee joint on back leg) straight to the table, her back feet are on that line and so is her high point (over the hips). Shestarts her rise behind the shoulders and the fullness continues all the way around the hips and to the table. (Not sure where her tail is! LOL! I think she was sitting on it!)
