As you will remember my dachshund niece (Pickle) passed away tragically and our family is still grieving. Even the dogs. Black Jack, the closest one to Pickle is really feeling her loss. He doesn't do anything but lay and look at the wall. Even though my sister was able to adopt Pickle's mother, it doesn't help him. She doesnt want to play or interact with him. She is a people dog. So we contacted the breeder and found out that Pickle's dad just had a litter born. A puppy will do us all some good. I never imagined that I would hurt so much with the loss of an animal. She was truely a family member, she was my niece. We celebrated birthdays and holidays just like she was a child.

Anyway.....my sister, Izzy (pickles mom), and I made the three hour trip to Christiansburg to pick out out next baby. She doesn't have a name yet, still trying to work on the best name that suits her perfectly. This is a link to a dacshshund forum where we posted pictures of her.

I'm sorry if you guys think I am some weirdo, but I really do miss her more than I could ever imagine. I also wanted to add a baby picture of Pickle.

:biggrin2:Welcome to little no name.

Congratulations! You must let us know when she comes home with you.

Her pink toenails are so pretty :D

The paint is their way of marking which puppy goes to who. Our puppy looks close to identical to one of her sisters. You should have seen the face she made, apparently the smell was a bit much for her.

Oh, the new little gal is just too adorable :inlove: I hope she makes a wonderful new addition to the family :hug2:
