Welcome!!! Bless you for what youdid. That rabbit needed rescued. I agree with youthat he was probably near death and that's why he smelled. There is a smell to death, when an animal is dying slowly.I've smelled that smell, it's awful and unmistakable.

You've gotten good advice, I really don't have anything toadd. Except that you can introduce greens to hisdiet. I would wait until he recovers from his neuter some, but then try them. I bet he will love them.

Another question....I was told by a rabbit owner that Icould give Hopper dandelions and clover from my yard as long as therewas not chemicals used on or around them. Lady at the HS saidthis was too dangerous and not to feed them anything except from agrocery store. I would think there would be more chemicals oncommercial products. Any thoughts on this?
Greetings and Welcome to the forum

It's a wondeful thing you've done.4 of my 7 bunnies areresuce of sorts. Your love will be returned 10 fold once they realizethey have a forever home.

I did want to comment on one thing...the clover. White clover is ok,but the pink/red clover can be toxic for the buns. Dandelions areperfectly fine for the buns, though.

Hi, and welcome!

It's great to hear how you've helped Hopper! I can't wait tosee pics of him. One of my rabbits is a rescue from ashelter- once he realized that he was allowed out of his cage (and onhis own four feet at that!) he was an EXTREMELY happy bunny!Binkies all the time! It's been several weeks and he stilldoes! Isn't it great to see them change into such happylittle buggers?

Thanks again to all the warm welcomes and professional advice.

Hopper is doing very well, he's eating and pooping and peeing and hewas even playing this morning when I checked on him before I left forwork. He's doing better than I expected....maybe because he'sbeen through worse than a neuter in his life it was easy forhim. I just hope he can forget the "other" life and move onknowing he will be loved and cared for. Keep your fingerscrossed that he will continue to recover from his surgery and pastexperiences. What a little trooper!!!

Aw! That's wonderful what you've done for Hopper. I love happy endings. He's one lucky bunny.

It's great to have you here. Can't wait to see pictures!
