New bunnies!!

We have 6 new bunnies!
Red Rocksi is a mini rex (she is 14 weeks old)

Knight Fall (she is a satin/new zealand mix 14 wks old)

Snow White (she is a californian 12 weeks old)

Bunnicula (he is a californian 14 weeks old)

and these are two angoras that we haven't figured out names for yet..

Kira and Jen might be good, I never even thought about it, but your right they do kinda look like them! lol. Faery probably wouldn't go real well since our rabbitry is Faery Fiber Rabbitry

they are so cute. I'm kinda suprised I thought about it really I haven't seen that movie in years. lol. I don't think we have it anymore I can't find it. ugh that sucks cause now I really want to watch it. lol

It is a good movie- I rented it for my kids some time back. I have the comic book/magazine of it from when I was a kid somewhere. I used to love that movie- and the old Labrynth movie with David Bowie.

The mini rex is just a pet- she's very smart and sweet. I am going to work with her this winter on training her to do a little agility course. The two angoras aren't purebred- they are English/French cross and they were given to me by a fellow handspinner who just got them and then found out she couldn't keep them as it was causing problems with a roommate. The other three are going to be a part of our meat program.

Nice. I want to try and try my cross bred to do agility. I wish there was a club around here. oh well. I'll get my dad and uncle to build me a course they could do it and they love me enough to do it. lol.

A lot of our bunnies have names either from books or mythology :biggrin:

we also glean them from movies and TV. Hutch from Wallace and Grommet "the Ware Rabbit" and "Commander Bun-Bun" from the Drew Carey show for example.

I like using movies and books. or even the seasons they were born or their markings/colorings. sometimes from famous people.

Summer was born in the summer

Belle came from the saddle club phantom horse Belle

Angel has markings that look like wings

Peanutt is an opal is coloring reminds me of peanuts. (he had the name when I got him)

Rhett got his name from Rhett Butler from Gone with the wind.

Ella got her name from Ella Enchanted

Pixie had her name but she reminds me of the dark pixie in a book I read once. it fits.

Gizmo had his name so IDK where it came from.

Einstein reminded my of Einstein with his hair.
