New Baby Buns

Hi guys. I've been so busy lately! The foster rabbit that has Siamese markings that I have finally had her babies a couple days ago. She had four. The dad that came with them from the humane society had Siamese markings and looks like a Wooley mix. These babies don't seem to have any markings at all. Will they all be solid white?


Update on Peaches and her 6 babies. They are almost 7 weeks and huge!

I could be wrong, but with some colours, such as points, and other animal breeds like dalmations, the colour doesn't develop until they're a little older. Because the points are forming on the cold extremities, and the entire baby bunny up until now has been wrapped up warmly in the mother, I think it takes time for those colours to develop.

Happy to be corrected on that though, as I don't know a lot about it.

Points on most animals don't show until later when fur has developed properly. Just give it time, they'll start showing their markings soon.

You guys are right! I'm starting to see it now. We are struggling. Mom won't feed them. We have have to force her. There is only two babies left.

Don't over feed them and make sure you help them go to the toilet use a wet warm tissue or paper towel tip and just lightly touch their bottoms with it and they should go to the toilet because if mum won't feed them she definitely isn't doing that for them either.

We have been letting her nurse in the morning and before bed, for about 4 minutes. Is this ok? I've done a lot of research and tried to average it acording to all the different ways.

Keep it up, your doing good when their bellies are big and round then it should be enough.
