On he same note of my other thread, is it safer for a boy bun to get neutered than it is for a female to get spayed?
 
Generally, yes. It's a less invasivesurgery. Although usually the most dangerous part is theanesthesia for either surgery. A good vet should be willingto tell you his success rate with both surgeries with rabbits- theyshould loose very few and most of those are from extenuatingcircumstances like an undiagnosed heart condition.
 
Both surgeries have thier complications. Makesure you do not go to any old vet, it has to be rabbit experienced. Youshould always alter your animal unless it is not safe for them. Eventhough males are less invasive of a surgery, you still havecomplications that could arise. This is why I cannot stress theimportance of a rabbit experienced vet.
