My neighbors in my building are pretty good. Don't know any to much but know them fairly well.

The neighbor to our left is a cranky old lady but she likes us so she's really nice to us. If our rotty gets out, she grabs him and brings him back to us. Our neighbor to the right is now the son of our original neighbors who passed a couple of years ago. He's a trucker and was gone a lot but he has his kids with him now so he only does local routes. He's really nice and cool and just bought a new pit bull puppy that he brings over to play with our dogs. The neighbors across the street are the niece and spouse of the lady who owns it. She moved in with her daughter in a city nearby and now rents it to her niece. They are a couple of years older than me and just had a baby last year. They are really nice and the baby is just soooo adorable. I like them a lot. We do Game Nights and BBQs with them all the time. Next to them is an elderly couple who are just really cool people. She's Mexican and he's German. The tell really awesome stories about their lives.
On the other hand, we have neighbors across the street a couple of houses down that are always yelling. Yelling at each other, yelling at the dog, yelling at the kids. It's pretty ridiculous. We've called the cops a few times. The lady beats the man. It's really sad. Overall, its a pretty good neighborhood.

My city also requires yard waste to be separated and placed in the paper bags. Keeps it out of the landfill, and the county uses the compost for things. They might sell some it, not sure. It's not about the cost to dump it, it's about the landfill nearing capacity. My city also requires people to pay for recycling with trash pickup, if you do it or not. (Some of the people on my street don't, and it makes me really mad.)
I compost my own yard waste (along with vegetable food waste, and litter box waste) in my yard. Keep expecting a neighbor to make a stink about it, but they can go jump.

friendly with the ones on either side of us, i watch the 1 1/2 year old girl all the time while my little sister plays with the older girl. very good friends with a family that lived across the street 3 years ago and moved 2 years ago. we were friends with the family who lived next to them, but they've pretty much dissed us while mom's been doing cancer treatment, so we're REALLY not that close anymore

In the past I've had pretty nice neighbors but now it's a total nightmare. I live in a co-op and there's only 6 apts in our building and there's 2 that are so inconsiderate. The one next to me constantly slams her door day and night all day. Her young kids pound on the walls or their slamming themselves against it all night, crying, screaming for hours on end. When I first moved here I couldn't sleep or take a nap until I bought ear plugs from CVS the 40 rated ones that shut out everything. When I tried to talk to my neighbor she pretended not to speak english when infact she does speak pretty good english a neighbor told me. I talked to my realtor about moving and it was last Fall when things were bad and she said stay there for a little longer until the market gets better. So I'm fixing more things up so when it's time I'm outta here!
I gave a key to my place after a year living here to my neighbor downstairs and I find a pair of my silver earrings on the rug in my bedroom. I couldn't fine a few gold bracelets, a necklace with a gold cross that was given to me by my godmother when I was baptised and a gold earring missing. Mind you I checked and rechecked everything and would find these things missing over a 2 month period, too late to do anything. I got my key back the next day and she wouldn't look me in the eye but our management company has a key as well so I couldn't blame anyone but I'm pretty sure it was my neighbor. I got a dead bolt installed so even tho my Mgt Co has a key they wouldn't be able to get in now.

Well my neighbours on the left side are quite nice, old couple who have been there ever since we have. We talk to them but not like really close. Next door and over the road are related we live next door to the grandparents.. they're really scary.. they have a scary dog that barks alot and if I ran into them I'd be like ommmggg lol!!
