I'm asking every where. Figured there were enough people on here to maybe be of some help. McEwans red. It's a Scottish beer. I've asked several of the larger chain stores here and they can't or wont order it for me. Best beer I've ever had.
My organic grocery store has specialty beers. When we go this weekend, I'll check for it and ask them about it.
If I find it though, you have to come here and get it! LOL (sounded way weirder than I meant it.)
Not sure how liquor stores work in the US but do you have any beer specialty stores? Like just down the street from me we have the biggest beer specialty store in western canada. They carry 1500+ different beers and can pretty much find and bring in anything you want if they don't have it. A big chain store probably isn't the best way to go for something harder to find. Or can you order it online? Try contacting the brewery and see if they have a distributor in the US.
I would try a specialist store. My uncle in America used to go to a specialist beer shop in the hunt for a good British beer (he'd from the UK like meh ) and ended up great friends with the store owner, who never had the beers he wanted but was always so keen to order them as they were sold so quickly! Also, if you're into them, I could list you a couple of other great beers and ales that might be sold! I've worked a fair few pubs here in England!
I hope you find your beer
I'll take that list Selbert! When we get down to Texas I'll ask around at some local stores. I didnt think to contact the brewery! I'll give that a try. We got rather snobby living in Europe. My husbands favorite beer is German. My favorite candy bar comes from Marks and Spencer. My hubbys favorite cookie comes from Marks and Spencer. The hubby doesnt really like Ice cream but after eating Gelato in Italy he wont try anything else. His favorite tea is from Fortnum and Mason. It'll cost me 30 pounds just for shipping!!! At 1.65 per pound I'm hopping to find someone that'll order with me and split the costs... McEwans beer is my all time favorite with a close second being Lindeman Kriek from Belgium (Which thankfully I can find here) I'm not a big beer fan to start with but McEwans was so awesomely tasty and smoothe that it's worth the hunt.
We have a couple of British Specialty grocery stores here--I'll have to check them and see. I don't drink nearly as much beer here as I did when we were in Europe--it just tasted much better there.
