Hi everyone, I've got a little 7 week old lopcross called Gingernut (small size rabbit) and even though he has thesweetest nature, and will fall asleep if I cuddle him on his back likean infant, he still has the super annoying habbit of nibbling andbiting my hand if it's ever in front of him or he deems it to be in hisway. It doesn'ty hurt much but I see it as him being verydisrespectfull, and when he does it I sternly say "no!" and move myhand but he seems to enjoy it and thinks it's a game.

What would you reccomend? His teeth are fine and he has plenty ofthings to chew on. He doesn't do this to his mother rabbit and she bowsher head in front of him for a lick numurous times a day. Does he thinkI am below him in the pecking order? Or is he just being cheeky andpushing his boundaries? I want to transition him from being an outdoorrabbit to a house bun but am getting sick of him biting me every timehe see's my hand.

*edit* Oh! I just thought of another thing that might help. He had abrother and two sisters who have gone to other homes during theweekend, could that be contributing? IT's only him and his mum in thehutch now.

I think this has something to do with the "baby"phase. Both my rabbits when they were young used to nibble on my hands, espcially my fingernails. Pebbles (who is 4 months now) still has theoccasional nibble on myfingers but doesn't as often when she was ababy. She would also jump on my lap and bite as hard as she can andwhen I screech she gets off and flicks me. She bit me once so hard itwas risen and purple-ish!

It could be from him feeling "important" or something because his brotherand sister have left? I really don't know.

I agree with Spring..I just think that its a"baby" phase that he will either outgrow or that it will improve afterhe is neutered. It doesn't hurt that you say "No" to him so that he canlearn by the tone of your voice.
