Nail came off - bleeding HELP!

Hey guys!

Munchkin was running around a sandpit I got for him and the kids tonight and some how his little toe nail which was deformed anyway and sticking up - has come off. It was bleeding but I'm not sure if it's stopped.
I have flour here but what should I do?

Is it ok to leave it if blood has stopped flowing or should I do something else.

Gosh - its one scare after another this week.

Hold his toe in cornstarch or flour to stop the bleeding.

Thanks - just sent one of the kids to a neighbours for flour
will do that!

I just realised it was probably my fault as he clawed on the carpet when I went to pick him up. *feels guilty*

Don't feel bad. It's happened to a lot of us. He'll be fine.

He is hiding under my bed now but bleeding seems to have stopped. I guess the way the nail was jutting out he had damaged it before I got him anyway, and hopefully it'll fix itself now as it grows back.

He loved the sand box though - I'll post some pics in his blog later when I've calmed down.
