I got 2 mini rexs and cant wait to see what colors they will throw. They both carry tri and broken black in there background. o by the way if you have a good name ideas let me know im not sure im settled on there names. They came from Floirda all the way to Missouri.

this is the doe she is shy and still scratches and wiggles out of my arms not very friendly. She is slow to warm up so i cant think of any name right knowThe first name i though of was Cruela de vil but that just not a nice name so im still trying to get a good name for her.

He is the main reson i bought this rabbits i love the Tri color. And he is a sweetheart. Will fall asleep in my arms as i pet him. Im thinking charmer boy or lover boy

Very lovely triboy! (You could name him Valentino! A real lover!). And she is very pretty. (watch her ear length...) (You can name her Greta Garbo ..."I vant to be alone!")

Crossing broken (spotted) to broken may not give you well marked broken babies. When we have crossed2 brokens, weget a majority of selfs (solids) and "charlies"(brokens that are to lightly marked.)

Of course, any of the selfs (solid) babies could be bred back to the parents for some nice broken markings! And the "charlies" can be bred to solids (just not a sibling).

Thanks he is a very pretty. Though she is pretty just not friendly. blue gaints i did not realize tell after i got both of them that i would be getting charlies. . Im looking for a compatible doe to go with him so i will have a trio. If she throws lots of charlies then i might sell or trade her for a better doe for him later on. As it is ive grown so attached to him he will always stay here.

Good luck with the Tris! They are a beautiful, although challenging, variety to breed.

One thing you'll want to note if you are planning on breeding show quality tris (as well as not breeding tri to tri as already mentioned) is that tri best manifests itself with the agouti gene. Your cute little tri guy is handsome, but is a "torted" tri with shading, which is a disqualification. (Note "Color Interpretations" on page 29 of the '06-'10 ARBA standard). Self colors such as tort, black, blue, choc, lilac in broken or solid should not be usedfor tri breeding.

Your best bet for breeding good tris is to introduce a red in your lines. You'll also need to use Harlequins to produce good broken Harles (tris).

The Broken Black has really long ears...Wow! She doesn't seem to have the rex fur in that picture... Does she feel rex?

Emily

I am thinking the same thing about that first bun. She couldnt be a Mini Rex, way to long of ears.

They are both gorgeous either way! I love tris too!

She is not as soft as him but shes got a pedigree. I guess that dont mean anything. Here is some of her parents and grandparents names Wedgwood's dasher is her dad, Daniel's Lacy is her G. Dam and has 1 leg then on the dad side of her she has KT's Spats which is her G.sire those are the only ones with legs all of them weigh 3 to 4 pounds.
Pam i was wanting to try and find a red to breed to him. Im glad i was not interested in showing for a while looks like i got to do some improving
