They way I look at it their fur does not look nowhere like a rex at all but maybe like a Belgan hare or a flemmie fur.Hopefully we can figure out the breed for who ever would like them. Iwould take them but they are not flemmies that my hubby wants.

I agree that rabbits can live happily and healthily outdoors.

The only thing is that they must be moved outside in summer to aclimatize as the seasons change.

My boys have been outside since the day they were born (in April/Maywhich is still like winter here a lot of times). I live in Canada and-40 (same in *C and *F) is not uncommon. I originally had concernsabout having small rabbits outdoors but I'm now getting a Holland Lopand she'll be outside.

The only thing i suggest is having a well sheltered but well ventilatedhutch. They must have an enclosed part with lots of straw forinsulation. Many of us have what we call storm windows which aresomething like transparent or translucent plastic that we have managedto incoperate into our hutches so we can slide those in when the windis blowing to prevent snow/heavy rain/hail/etc. from coming in.

i think u should build a hutch for outside, butmake sure its VERY protected from heat, rain, predators etc. becasue ithink they'll be fine since they have eachother but just becasue theyare outside dont forget to feed/give them water. or u could findsomeone that is very patient to help them. good luck.

Pamnock can you guess what breed they could be.

They look like commercial mixes. How much do theyweigh? It would help if I could feel their fur -- in thephoto, the fur appears to lay very flat to the body. If youstoke it from the rump to the shoulders, does it quickly snap back intothe flat position? (flyback coat). Or does it luxuriouslyroll back onto the body?

How old are the boys (I thought you had posted that info, but I can't find it).

Well...I was trying to attach a short quicktime movie to show how thefur lays when stroked as suggested but i can't seem to get it to workon my post. It doesn't snap back like coarse hair would. it's verysoft, silky feeling and mostly remains standing. they're coming up on 5months old. i weighed myself then weighed myself with the brown rabbitto get the rabbit's weight. totally not accurate but that one is comingin at about 6 lbs. the gray one i'd guess would be about 5. he'ssmaller than the brown.

I raise Netherland dwarfs they are not dwarfs.Ithink this is why dwarfs got a bad reputation. many pet stores andothers are saying rabbits are dwarfs that are not dwarfs.they just saythat to make a sale everyone wants a bunny that stays tiny.bluebird
