I understand your hesitation. Tiberius has the habit of tasting fingers of people he likes. Some people think he's biting but rather he wants to taste and lick your finger and it can seem like a bite but it doesn't leave a mark. If your daughter gives alot of treats or has smells on her fingers than your rabbit may have made a mistake. Also territory can be an issue. My old rabbit Pamela was so territorial she use to attack the ankles of stranger and would draw blood. I think leaving her alone in certain areas is a good idea for your daughter.
I will have to agree with other posts that no matter what animal you have, they all will bite and that your husband is just going to have get use to it. If your rabbit didn't draw blood I wouldn't see this behavior has a problem.
