My bunny is one-and-a-half years old and she is spayed. We let her roam free in our bedroom 24/7, and when we are home she roams the whole house. She had not had any potty accidents on the floor since she was a baby. Recently though, we went on vacation for two weeks and since we got back she is peeing/pooping on our bed, in corners, and closets. She was reportedly an angel for the girl that house sat for us, and had no accidents until when we came home. She is so used to freedom, that i feel bad locking her up. Any advice to curb this behavior? And why is she doing this now? Thanks in advance for the advice!

Maybe she's telling you she didn't like it that you were gone. But if her eating has changed in any way, it might be something else.

My Dobby was very mad at me when I was gone 12 hours. Just think what your sweetie feels after not seeing you for two weeks. And it doesn't matter if she had the best care provided. It wasn't you.

I would curb her access for a while until she settles down from you being away. Amazing how bunnies are but I had to sit and spend some time with Dobby to even make him look at me and calm him down. He was crestfallen that we were gone all that time. And it had nothing to do with the new bunny we bought home.

She's showing you her dominance and she is claiming you all over again. She missed you. And has become a bit insecure. That's why all the poop marking.

I just wasn't sure what she was trying to tell us. I didn't know if she was mad at us for leaving her, if she missed us, or was excited we were home. Thanks for the input!!
