:)Hi. I am new here. But I am a little worried. My bunny is eight months old and he is like my child. I feel like he is my baby. I love him a lot. But recently on new year's eve I went out. When I go out I leave him in his cage. His cage is very large so he is very happy. It's so cute he has a little toy that he likes to play with I give him a little food and make sure his water bottle is filled up. New Year's Eve was no different he was very happy when I left.
But honestly earlier that day when I had gotten in the shower I came back in and he was out of his cage. His cage is on the floor. But he wasn't out, I realized that I had probably let it open after his breakfast.
But when I came home on new year's day I looked in his cage to play with him and to let him Daddy was home but he wasn't there. I flipped out of course he wasn't in his cage I called my Aunt and then I heard him. Thinking he was hurt I freaked out of course and then he peeped his head out from under my bed. I reached to pick him up but he thought I was mad so he ran and hid. I breathed and then he came out again I reached to pick him up but then i grabbed him by the back legs. Almost immediately though I picked him up like your supposed to and then once he was in his cage I gave him all the Timothy Hay a rabbit could want. And then I stayed down there with him all night I picked him up a lot sung to him and kissed him.
He's been acting pretty normal sense, but normally he is up all the time and happy. But I have seen him laying down twice since the incident. If you knew me you would know he is my world that I would never hurt him. I have even moved my bed next to his cage, but he's been a little hesitant since what happened. And I have seen him laying down twice since what happened. He's been acting pretty normal other then that. He runs around especially when there is food involved.
Should I call a vet? Can I do anything to make him feel better? I think he thinks I am mad at him. :( I know this is not as serious as a normal health issue but I have to worry I am a single Bunny Parent.

No, I totally can understand worrying about a bunny- I do it much to often, but can't seem to help it. What do you mean laying down? My bunnies lie down all the time. Has he never laid down before that you've seen? Is there something odd about the way he laid down?

Welcome to you and Polar Bear!

If you can take a picture of his position, that would be helpful :)

I agree with you, pulling a rabbit by his legs can be very damaging - try to avoid it at all costs ;).
