Yes, but how do you stop it? I can get 12 hours of sleep, but if I have to wake up earlier than what my natural clock wants (9AM), I'm just plain tired all day. And most jobs dictate that you have to be up earlier than that.

Exactly. I try to go to bed at a time that would allow 8-9 hours of sleep, but I just lie in bed not sleeping. Then, when I do get to sleep, I toss and turn, wake up frequently, or just sleep very very lightly.

I'm not opposed to using medications when necessary, but I already take enough things and don't want to risk more side effects, or interactions. So I'm stuck.
I don't really think it's safe for me to be driving a car, as tired as I am all the time, but I have to get to work.

I'm one of the lucky people who can sleep anywhere, anytime, any place. I generally sleep very deeply, too, and 6 hours in any 24 hour period is enough for me. I think the key is finding some way to get your sleep in, with no interruptions. If your body can sleep a solid cycle(with all the phases), with no alarm or other interference, I think even 4 hours is a good refresh.

Don't get me wrong, I do love to rest... I am no Type A sort of person. I love to lounge, and the bedroom is my favorite place. :)
