"Monty" is short for Monty Python's Holy Hand Grenade Bunny, and is a nod to the rabbit of Caerbannog in "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". I named my baby female Flemish Giant this because being new to the world of giant rabbits myself, I can predict people's reaction to her adult size being something to the effect of "holy crap that's a huge rabbit".
