Hey,
Tonight I’ve noticed my bunny has got a missing patch of hair on the inner corner of her eye and has a bit of wetness. There’s no pus or blood it’s just pink from the missing patch of hair. She’s a mini lop and is 1 and a half years old, there have been no changes to her diet and she’s still going to the toilet normally and still quite active and playful – she’s currently doing binkys around the room. I give her a mite treatment once a month.
I was concerned about myxo but the rest of her body including ears and genitals are fine.
She isn’t squinting and doesn’t seem too bothered by her eye at all (she’s not scratching or rubbing her eye at all).
She does get wetness on her inner corners occasionally and is an over-groomer, I’m hoping she’s just accidentally ripped some dried hair out due to the wetness but I’m unsure.
I’ve attached a photo of her eye, any advice would be appreciated. Is it worth the vet appointment or am I overreacting? Thank you ☺️
Let me know if I have missed anything.

Hi, I would get her to a rabbit-savvy vet, i would check her teeth. I had a rabbit with teeth problems and watering eyes and bold patches in the corner were first sign but I didn't know that then.

Of course there can be something else, from allergies to overgrooming, but I would get her teeth checked not just front teeth but back as well, you can't normally see them, but you could check front teeth right now to see if they are straight and not overgrown.

Also, why she gets mite treatment every month and what treatment you use?

Hi, I just checked her front teeth. They look straight and even! I can't see the back though so I will definitely organise a vet check up tomorrow morning just in case. I also felt along the edges of her mouth/jaw/chin area and she wasn't uncomfortable at all so I'm unsure. Thank you though.

Also I use mite treatment once a month as that's the recommended time, I forgot the brand name but I will check tomorrow. its just a drop you put on the back of her neck/shoulders to prevent any mites or fleas.

My bunny seems to get this every year. We had him checked last year, and it was conjunctivitis. His teeth were all good too, but I do think it’s still worth a vet trip!

you can read about our situation because it took a good few months to fix and he still gets it on occasion.

Yeah I will definitely taking her to the vet just in case. I just went through the threads and it does seem a lot like what Dakota gets! Did you use prescription drops or other drops? thank you!!

That's great that her front teeth are perfect, the back teeth are too far back in the mouth to be seen without seducing your rabbit so ask if they can seduce to check molars.
It can be an eye infection or allergy, my other rabbit had it as well I just brewed strong tea (not using any bagged teas since they often have added some thing, just loose tea) and when it is still warm I rinse his eyes with a cotton wool a few times a day. Both black and green tea will reduce inflammation and would help with conjuctivitis. You can also use chamomile tea compress. Saline solution is also good and these natural remedies won't make any hurt. I would still get her to a vet

We went through a course of prescribed antibiotic ointment, and about 9 days of saline solution (bought online) three times a day! Now whenever he gets it, I just use saline solution and it’ll clear out in two or three days!
