Peg, that's good information.... and interesting ideas.

I need to see what Obama is saying about these things also.....

I'm sort of no where in my voting decision now. I really like McCain on a person basis but I am having a hard time with the whole republican party thing.....

I want a democrat but I'm not sure I like Obama on a person basis.......

weird huh?

Gosh I'm having a time!

Here's a liberal in conservative country...

I love Palin. I've had a little more to do with her than most and I really like her. I've been to hockey games and such with her and met here and she's a very nice person and I think she's doing a wonderful job in Alaska. I'm not sure how well she would do in the big house, but at this point in the election I'm wouldn't be entirely dissapointed to see these republicans in the oval office.

Peg - the extra $1,200 was in addition to the PFD (permanant fund dividend) she also pushed up the date of when we are getting our gas relief money and the PFD to sometime mid september I think.

Has anyone heard Greta Van Sustern's (sp?) uncut interview with Sarah Palin's church Pastor in Wasilla?

WOW.

Its 18 minutes long but its well worth going to Fox News and listening to. Here are some of the highlights that really hit me...
  • His church did not sponsor the seminar about gays that Focus on the Family put on - that was in Anchorage. However, he posted a blurb about it in the bulletin. As he explains to Greta, when he thinks about homosexuality - he thinks about some people that he cares about a lot. He's heard some of his church members (not in the church setting) talk about this topic...but without understanding. Part of the seminar - was with two people who are people of faith and have struggled with homosexuality...and he wanted his people to hear about this from THEIR perspective...not as a dog and pony show - but two people who had really lived with this. He said that he couldn't say that all of the seminar he would agree with - but he wanted his people to have exposure to people of faith who have struggled with it - to understand the issue better.
  • He believes that while homosexuality is sin in the Bible - that there are other sins that are as bad or worse. For instance - he talks about how pride is a sin...yet we (the church) label homosexuals but we don't label people with pride. I'm not saying it the way he said it.
There was so much more....but those were some of the things that hit me....I haven't yet listened to the uncut interview with her former Pastor.

Anyway - for those who want to hear more about what Sarah Palin's church is like...you may want to go to foxnews.com and see Greta's interview...let me see if I can link it here..

ARG - I can't seem to link it here.

I think folks will be surprised though to listen to this Pastor and see what he is like....
