Please help!!! My bunny doesn't move much since this morning. She flops over to one side then slowly closes her eyes. I don't know whether she's dreaming or having seizures because she would move during her "sleep".

I got her last Friday and it's only been 4 days.
Should i take her to a vet or is she just sleeping. Another problem is my vet is not coming back until tomorrow. I am FREAKING OUT!!!

Does she react to you during this? Does she ever just wake up when she hears you?

It looks more like she's just flopped out to me...

I know my boy Babbitty has given me a few scares because there are times when I have petted him (Even started picking him up!) and he hasn't moved. It could be your bunny is simply comfortable around you.

Unless there are other symptoms you haven't listed, I honestly think she's just chilling out.

My boyfriend thinks she is too sleepy since she hardly slept for the last 3 day.

She just drank some water and is grooming herslelf. I guess I'll just keep an eye on her and take her to a vet tomorrow.

LOL! My Flops do that to me ALL the time! The babies don't even wake up until you have them completely picked up. Scares me every time, too, because I just "know" that they're dead. LOL

Ripley tricks me like this on a DAILY basis. 'm about like this every time : :faint::tears2:
But then when I go to pet him, he jumps up like a bullet and takes off doing the bunny 500 around his cage. Lil' goof sleeps like a rock. He'll sleep through ANYTHING.

Do bunnies have dreams and move around, like dogs do? I know when I first saw this I thought my dog was having a seizure!

She's so cute :)

Another thing is if you recently got her, you were likely playing with her a lot... I know when I first got Buster we had him out playing all day, for this first like week. The first time I went into work I came back and he was hardcore passed out.

Becky does this to me all the time. After making my self crazy and making her mad from shaking her I have learned to check for breathing. She is partially deaf so even loud noises don't wake her up. A gentle nudge doesn't work either, I have to start to pick her up and give a little shake. Then she thumps me off for waking her up.

Lately she has started to sleep with her butt on the floor and her head on the shelf of the table the bird cage is on. That makes the top half of her body two inches higher, and looks so uncomfortable. It must feel better than it looks because she has been sleeping this way every day when I come home from work for the last three days.

When I got my first rabbit, Scout, she was a baby and she would sleep on her back, eyes lolling back, paws moving, mouth opening and closing, trembling all over. I thought she was having a fit and I would wake her up. Even after I read that some rabbits do that, I would still panic and wake her up. Poor little thing couldn't get any sleep:)
