I don't have a picture of her from the front, though. Pictured at 4 months.

A bit of static cling going on with the back hairs. LOL

Show ready yet? Or hang on another month?

As you know, not into showing yet, but I think you should go for it.

IMHO and untrained eye, I think she is gorgeous. Beautiful ears, nice crown from the side, and nice round solid back. I'm have the same thing with static cling too. lol

I would go for it. Put her on the show table and find out what an expert thinks of her.

I love him....errr, I mean HER. lol She's really solid, and filling out nicely. I just wasn't sure if she was developed enough to head to a show yet or not. I want to get them all shown, just to hear expert opinions on their strengths and weaknesses, to better plan breedings. I don't know the correct term for this, but I think she has too much of a slope from her crown to the arch in her back? Or perhaps it's the way I have her posed.

The static cling is a killer! I can just imagine Neville's soft, silky hair. Does it stick up all over after you're done petting/grooming him?

Neville's mane that is coming in, especially between his ears, has such static. And I could groom that boy and ten minutes later, he looks like he's never been groomed. lol

I see what you mean by the slope. You best bet, put her on the show table and let an expert tell you. Then if there is a slope, you will know what you need from your new buck.

Until you get an opinion, it's all guestimate.

K:)

Did you post new pictures of him yet? I'm dying to see him now that his mane is coming in. But you have to get some with his mane all static filled, too. LOL

I think it might be my posing. If you look, all of my "posed" pictures make them look really long in the shoulder, and they really aren't. I'll find out soon enough, provided I can hear what the judge is saying. Rabbit shows are noisy, and this show doesn't have comment cards.

Haven't posted pics of Neville yet. I plan on taking loads of pics of him to show how his mane is coming in. And he's loosing the fur around his eyes which is about par for a lionhead kit. It's going to be my relaxing time after we get our taxes done. ugh. Hate getting ready for taxes. And really hate going to find out if I owe. So coming home afterwards and playing with Neville will be my treat. lol

And yes I'll get a static pic for you. It's just so funny, wait to you see. His mane has gotten so long and defined. He still has wool on his ears, which is a DQ, but I will have to see if he looses that as well. If not, I'm not concerned. Luna has no wool on her ears, so that combination could work out well for me.

Her ears are a bit longer than Neville's, but I've really only seen her in a pic. And at 3 days old it's hard to tell what her ears will be. lol So I'm really looking forward to getting to actually see her again to really get a close look at her.

I hate taxes, too! Thankfully hubby handles all that, but I'm the one that has to dig up all the receipts for everything. And then separate into farm expenses vs. hobby.

Big kudos to you! I can't imagine how hard it will be to breed for correct body AND mane. And maybe her ears just looked longer because of the angle of the picture. Have they sent you any recent ones?

What's color is Neville called? He looks orangey in your pictures, but more chocolatey in your videos. I bet you get all kinds of neat colors with the two of them!

No recent pics of Luna. But I got an e-mail from the breeder saying she's doing great. She's pretty busy with her breeding program right now, so I don't expect pics until I take them. lol

Neville is a Blue Tort. His father is a Lilac Tort. Absolutely beautiful. Every time I see Neville I see his father in him.

Luna is a Broken Chocolate.

Definitely will be getting lots of variations of the diluted colors. I'm really hoping for a Chocolate Tort from these two. Though I love my boys with their darker, earth colors, I just love Neville's lighter colors. His ears are really showing the blue, and also his hind quarters and the sides of his skirt.

Yes it is going to hard to breed for conformation and mane, but isn't that what it's all about?

I think the slope is what your referring to as long in the shoulders. That is pretty noticeable I feel there's something wrong in the midsection but can't quite point it out

Just saw your post above about posing. Sorry I am of not much help. If I can offer there's a forum called rabbit addict that has a showable thread. People there give awesome critique and thats where I post my critique pictures. Give them a day to answer but they will definitely try to help

Thanks Sarah, I had no idea about the site. Wow, this is great information. I will definitely visit. And what a way to be able to get some honest critiquing of your bunny. Might not like what you hear, but it's always good to get advise and tips.

K :)

Just signed up. Thanks for the insight of the other site. Just trying to obtain as much good information as possible through the experience of others.

But don't fret, I share everything I know with others. IMHO, that's how you learn.

Should be interesting to hear what others think of My Neville and Luna. And the project in front of us.

Thanks, Sarah! I just joined. I think, from reading already, that what's happening is Maxine is smashing her chest down, giving her that slope. There are tips on fixing that, so going to go try it out now. Well, as soon as I google what pin bones are. LOL

Lol hooks and pins are more used when judging cattle but hooks are the upper or more cranial(towardsthe head) protrusions of the pelvis and pins are the lower or more caudal(towards the tail) protrusions of the pelvis. Here's a pic

And your welcome for the site I was unsure if I could advertise it but I really love the advice they give on that website and I meant to post critiques are given on the showtable thread but autocorrect prevailed.
