Ohhhh...I never thought of that! Max doesn't like being picked up, and he really hates being flipped. But I do both, because he IS going to be a show bunny, whether he likes it or not. haha
Thankfully I started with Neville at 6 weeks. I've been flipping him gently and touching him all over his belly, hind legs and private area trying to relax him to my touch and future touches of judges. Well, I've been doing it since we brought him home. But he absolutely HATES being turned over..and doesn't care to be picked up. He's fine for grooming, because his feet are on the grooming table. And he's doing really well with posing (actually holds it for a minute before moving).
Maybe I'm flipping him over incorrectly. Everything I've read shows how to put your hands on their head, and hold their ears between your fingers to keep from hurting them. But it's hard with a lop ear, because they're in the way.
