Massive rabbit rescue in South Florida

Thank you Erika! These bunnies were in bare cages without any flooring, toys....nothing. This is hearsay, but I heard that they never even got hay. I am a member of HRS and will continue to be, but they would not support this rescue effort because we were paying the breeder in order to take the bunnies. Don't get me wrong, I do not support purchasing rabbits strictly to "save" them, but I think this situation was not the norm.

I heard that paying for rabbits to rescue them can result in loss of tax exempt status which may be why HRS had to decline.

Oh goodness, Patti, what an awful situation. Looking at all the rabbits, they are beautiful, and so many different breeds/types.

So, so sad, but at least they all now have a chance. Thanks to everyone concerned
