Mary Kate Update

Mary Kate had her eye sealed shut for two weeks so the ulcer will heal. There was a really bad infection on her cornea and the ulcer was getting worse. I was a mess but glad she's not going to lose her eye! thanks for all the friendly emails. Will send pics soon!

Hi,

You have my curiosity up....I have never heard of sealing an eye to treat an ulcer. I have dealt with some nasty ones. Just wondering what your vet is looking for and what drugs are being used to treat the infection and the ulcer. Would appreciate any info you could provide. I am always interested in new treatments.

What was the cause of the ulcer? Did the vet suspect entropian?
