My buddy marshmellow is ripping my wife's couchcovers. Since I am the one letting him out we are both in trouble. Itry to watch him but when I leave the room he goes to town. We just gotnew couches and covers I was wondering if there was a spray we can puton to discourage him from chewing. Thanks for the help, what a greatsite I have learned a lot already.

Bitter apple worked great for my dog, but Iheard that rabbits actually like it. Test it on somethingelse before covering the whole couch with it. What if you didthat and it turns out that Marshmallow loves it?

What kind of toys does he have? I'm onlyasking because I had bought all these throwing and rolling toys when Ifirst got my bunns. They wanted chew toys and started chewing myentertainment center. I figured they wanted to chew so I got a bunch ofwilow sticks, toilet paper tubes filled with hay, wood blocks and awicker basket. They leave the furniture alone.

Maybe Marshmellow wants different chew toys.

There is a bitter apple spry you can buy but I've heard of onetoo many bunns who found the taste to be pretty yummy.

Perhaps you can buy a water gun or spray bottle. Leave the roomand soon as you hear him doing it very carefully peep around the cornerand a little water to the butt with a stern NO may help.

If it's only certain spots he's chewing you may want to trysprinkling regular ground pepper on the spots he's chewing. You may beable to put flooringtiles on the spots to deter him.

I hope this helps.

Canopy/Kent Marine makes a spray called BetterBitters. It is supposedly the worst tasting thing. It's made for dogs/cats and birds and they might even make a smallanimal formula. I have the bird one, my buns seem to hate it.

Bitter Apple works with our rabbits, they usedto go after the chair legs but now leave them alone. Ok, they wentafter just about everything to be honet. :p

We also leave out plenty for them to chew on/play in. Cardboard boxes, paper towel tubes, untreated wicker baskets. Never underestimate thepower of a squirt bottle when they're being bad either.

One of my rabbits Abby likes to chew up on the couch too, so I feel your pain!
