I'm so embarassed to post this, as I should have known better and feel SO bad...:(

But...

This morning I had the top door of Maisie's cage open (note the factthat she has an NIC cage), because she likes peeking her head out tolook around and sniff the air. I always thought it was nicebecause it gave her a sense of having just a bit more room.Well, this morning she actually tried to get out! I had herbottom door (the one in the front on the floor) open as well, but sheopted to go out the top! She's never done this before, so Ireally didn't think it was a problem.

So, Maisie got her front paws up, but it was too far for her to jumpall the way out, and in going back down, got one of her front pawsstuck in one of the openings!! I felt sobad!!! She got it out, but I was worried that she'd injuredthe paw. I've been watching her for about four hours now, andshe's moving about normally, no limping or favoring of thatleg. I guess we both got really lucky...I really thought Ihad hurt my sweet baby with my poor judgement. I feel soirresponsible!!

I was thinking of adding another layer to her cage, and now with thisdevelopment and her obvious wanting of more room, I justmight.

I feel like such a horrible bunny mom...:(

Not a bad bunnie mom! We all have things like this happen to us.

Add climbing to the things that bunnies can do!! ;)Tootsieclimbs to the top of her pen EVERY morning to peer over the top at meduring feeding time. It's so funny to turn around, while dishing uppellets, and have this big black face looking at you :D

A few months ago I was cleaning cages. I moved Binkie's cage to what Ithought was the end of the table. The cage was actuaslly hanging halfoff the end. I reached in to take her out and she jumped to the endhanging, and the cage started to slip off the table. I managed to grabBinkie before the cage fell, but then she bit me and I dropped her onthe floor. It's carpeted and she landed pretty good, but it scared thebeewhozits outta both of us. Now bunnies are remove from their cagesBEFORE we move them. DUH !!!:foreheadsmack:

Thanks so much for your encouragement, guys. I really feel bad that poor Maisie just wanted to comeout and investigate and ended up scaring herself (not to mention myselfand Hobbes the cat who was nearby, though I think he was more scared bymy screach at what happened with Maisie...I don't even think he sawwhat happened...lol).
Again...thanks, guys! :)
