I'm looking into getting a baby bunny, but would like to know how much it costs to get it either spayed/neutered. I'm not familiar with exotic vets in Calgary, preferrably the sw/downtown area.

If anyone could provide any advice/opinions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I recommend the Calgary Avian and Exotic Pet Clinic. They are located near 17th ave and Crowchild Tr. I think it neuter is around $200 and a spay is about $300, plus the exam which is around $85 (call and check prices, it's been a while since I have had it done. I would also recommend Dr. Materi there.

If cost is a concern, there is a Spay and neuter clinic in Erin Woods. A neuter is around $100, and I am not sure what a spay is. The vet that does rabbits isn't in every day, so it might take some work to get a time that works for you.

There are also rescues in Calgary that have rabbit. The Calgary Humane Society usually has a few, and does have babies from time to time. All rabbits are spayed or neutered before adoption, and the fee is $50. Cochrane Humane also has rabbits, but not usually as many, they also spay or neuter before adoption. Against All Odds Rabbit Rescue is another option, the rabbits are also spayed or neutered.
