What do your bunny beds look like? Peaches (3 lb male lionhead) tends to have maybe 4 spots that I find him lounging most often: In his litter box, it has a grate on top. In front of his litter box (on the fleece covered foam puzzle pieces). In his plastic tunnel OR on a half shelf (foam puzzle piece only). I felt sorry for him having to lay on hardish surfaces and got him a cat bed (dog beds were waaaaaay too big). I couldn't find any that were safe for chewing. I brought the bed home and put it in the cage, where I thought it might serve its purpose. Well Peaches was digging in it and made like he would chew it - and he pushed it off his shelf - didn't want it anywhere near his house. So I ended up bringing it back to the store.

I'm hoping he's comfy where he lays - he most often flops in his litter or in front of it but I thought he would like something squishy to rest on. I'm thinking of making a snuggle sack for my bunnies and I might make one soon, but it's still not a bed.

What do your bunny beds look like and were they accepting of it in the beginning? Do they or should they have one?

AND I don,t think I've ever seen Peaches with this eyes closed sleeping... maybe he's a vampire bunny:devil

My bunny just lays where ever he wants which is normally in his cage on the hard metal that he refuses to let anything be on top of. I have put towels and cardboard down and he pushed it outta the way or refused to go in his cage so I gave up. The other place he likes is behind this chair we have on top of cardboard where he chews it up.

My bunnies sleep in an enclosed cardboard house most of the day. In the evening, they lay stretched out in the middle of the rug. They have a pet bed from the pet store, but I've never seen them sleep on it (though they do sit on it sometimes for about 30 seconds)

i too bought my bunnies a cat bed and they will occasionally sit in it but usually push it right out of the cage or use it as a litterbox. it would seem they prefer to lay on the linoleum in their cage, or behind my couch on the marble flooring there or on the livingroom rug. i have tried putting cloth on the floor of their cage also with no success. i guess if they don't mind the linoleum i shouldn't worry too much about it.

My buns sleep where ever they feel like it too, they don't have just one favorite spot. Their cage has different levels, and they are free to roam the dining room and kitchen, so sometimes they feel like sprawling out on the linoleum, sometimes on the straw mat in their cage, or sometimes they just wanna cuddle up in one of the little levels where there's a fluffy bottom, whatever floats their boat LOL. Here's a couple pics.

Most bunnies seem to prefer a solid surface. If they have litter/bedding they usually dig it out the way first to get to the floor. Wild rabbits are the same, they like a nice bit of dirt to lie on. A bit of cardboard is good for a chewable bed, Scamp has a box, but kicks the hay out the way to sleep.
