I've noticed Gus's fur has become much softer now he's back on the alfalfa.
One negative side effect I'm noticing, though, is he's peeing a LOT more. I read somewhere that bunnies on alfalfa pellets will pee more than bunnies on timothy pellets. Plus his pee smells more too (no yucca extract in the alfalfa pellets.)
There's always a trade-off.
