I recently gave BunBun a litter box for hiscage. Before that he would hop in his cage to go to thebathroon (it has a wire floor). At first he was using it andlying in it and stuff, but now he just sits in it and poos, but stillpoos all over his cage including his mats. Why would he dothis? Can I get him back on track? If the same topic was posted before, please show me in the right direction...Thanks!

Is he neutered yet? That would help.

Just keep cleaning his cage regularly. Try to keep him from smelling his poos outside of his litterbox.

Mocha does this too. I've resigned to the fact that she willalways leave poops outside the litterbox. I don't really mindit though. I think she might improve as shematures. If I am remembering the dates correctly, she's only8 months old.

Yeah, he is neutered. I'll trycleaning his cage a little more often, every day now isuppose. The funny thing is, my 4 month old unspayed femalebunny has better potty habits than BunBun...She always uses her box! :D

kfonz, when I was training Bindy I picked up every poopiethat she did outside her litterbox that was in her house andpopped them in her litter tray. I still do it now if she leaves poopieslying around her condo, I pick them up and put them in her tray so shegets the idea that they WILL get in there somehow.

Goodluck, I know litter training can be frustrating sometimes
