Lately Molly hasnt been using her litter box,she uses the opposite corner. She has always used her litter box, Idon't understand why she is doing this. Is it because she is not spayedyet? or is it maybe behavioral? :?

Not being spayed could be part of the problem. Have you "seeded" the box with droppings & strips of urine-soaked paper?

Can you move the litterbox to the corner she'susing now and see if she still goes there? Sometimes it'seasier to just cooperate with what she wants.

Im going to try moving the litter box to thecorner she has chosen and see what happens:surrenderI'll letyou guys know what happens with the lil stinker:D:D;)

Speaking of litter box dilemmas... where do you guys find your litter? I can't find anything besides clay/pine.

Is there a brand or store someone could point me to? Thanx =D

Try moving the litterbox to the other corner?Sometimes Pebbles goes just outside her litter box (in a fit of rage,of course ;)) and I just clean it up and move her litterbox over a bitand that usually does the trick :).

Jace- you have a PM :D

If she's reaching her teens (6 months-ish), it could be hormones.

Or she's being territorial about something at that end of the cage --there was a cat/dog/bunny or whatever in that vicinity (from herperception) and she's marking the territory.

But seeing as she was having trouble that could haveinvolvedher bladder just a week or two ago, I'd watch her veryclosely. Any change of habbit is worth noting.

Is she spendingmore time thanusual in the box? Isshe straining at all? Is he pee thick and/or white? Is there any trace amounts of blood in it? Is shelethargic?

Did the vet ever end up testing her urine?

sas et al

She doesnt seem to be strainningatall, but her urinesmells quite strong. The vet did not checkher urine. Im thinking she might be doing this because of Princess, because thats the side her cage is on. Either way im gona see whathappens now that I've switched the litter box over to the other corner

Now she's pooping and peeing in bothcorners:pullhair::sweep:help:nerves1I dont know what im goingto do!!!! Im already having the same problem with Princess, any otheradvice anyone would have would be really helpful

Pipp totally lost her litter box habit when shehit puberty, and got it back a month or so after she wasspayed... then lost it again for a month ormorewhen I got another rabbit.

Now she'll still stillpoop and pee in one spot outside theother rabbit's door when she's out, but it's not too bad.

The new bunniesonly leave a few poops around to mark theirterritories. I'm happy as long as everybunny pees in a box!

Try using two litterboxes, one in both spots. That's what I have to do.

Jace, can you find a farm supply store (like TSC) or a feedstore? They often carry wood pellets made for horse stallswhich are awesome for bunny litterboxes. They're usuallykiln-dried so even if they're made with pine it's safe.

I buy my Woody Pet at the Agway.
Most Tractor Supply Co. (TSC) stores carry either Woody Pet or something similar.

Exactly the same for Sunny. It's driving me nuts now though....I get upin the morning and there are these giganto poops piled all aroundMisu's cage. GRRRRRRRRR!
She used to be so good about going only in her box (after her spay).

But like Sas says.....Better poops than pees! :?
