I picked up this sweet guy, who I have named Sherman, last night from a small petting zoo/farm. I saw his parents, but it was at night so I couldn't get a clear look. I do know that his mother was fluffy and his father was smooth. She also had some Rex so that may have been thrown in somewhere. I'm new to breeds so just want some confirmation that my assumption is right. He was born June 1st, so 3 1/2 months old. Not sure of his exact weight but he is under 2 lbs. Thanks for you help!

He looks like a Lionhead mix, hes to big to be a purebred Lionhead.
I've had purebred lionheads hit 6 pounds....it depends upon how closely they're tied to the ones that were originally imported into the US and if the dwarfing gene was ever introduced into the lines.

He does have the flank mane too so I lean towards him being the older style of lionhead - purebred.

I think my biggest lionhead was 7 pounds and she was from the UK....and the next biggest one I had was 6 pounds and he was one generation away from being an import.

Yep you have a lionhead. He does look like he may be purebred though. Sweetie, black rabbit in avatar, is a lionhead mix female. I love lionheads, they are a beautiful breed!
